Which wallet do I need for Bitcoin?
Any Bitcoin wallet, for example a hardware wallet or a mobile wallet that shows a Bitcoin address starting with bc1, 1 or 3. MetaMask and the Theta Wallet do not hold Bitcoin.
How do I buy BTC with a card?
Choose BTC, enter the wallet address that should receive it, and continue to payment. Wert, a licensed payment provider, takes the card payment and sends the BTC to your address.
What does it cost?
Wert shows the exact price, its fee and the network fee before you pay. Nothing is charged until you confirm the payment in the Wert window.
Do I need an account or ID?
Wert asks for an email address and, depending on the amount and your country, a quick identity check. This is required for licensed payment providers.
How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes after the payment is approved. BTC is sent on the Bitcoin network, and network confirmation times apply.
What if I enter the wrong address?
Crypto sent to a wrong address cannot be recovered. Check the address and the network before you pay. ThetaSwap checks the format of the address, but it cannot know whether the wallet is yours.
